Mainstream hip-hop is often criticized for its lack of substance and content. However, look at the album sales charts and the few artists we typically acknowledge as being "real MCs" usually out-sell those that are "hot" for any given moment. So it begs the question, is hip-hop in a better space than we claim it is? After covering the recent events of Baltimore and Tidal, we discuss this and try to figure out what will people really be talking about 25 years from now.
