Episode 52: HipHop, Trump, and the Abuse of Our Women
Michel'le's "Surviving Compton" was just recently released, Nate Parker was caught in a media whirlwind as "Birth of a Nation" was being released, and Trump continues to ramble on about "locker room talk." What do all of these things have in common, the abuse and assault on women. We discuss how all of them interact and the role hip hop plays in this abuse. We also discuss how, even in the midst of it being about women, their voices typically go unheard. Give us your take on how you see all of this intersecting.
