Episode 3: Ferguson Reaction & Hip-Hop's Responsibility

Happy holidays folks! We certainly understand that the holidays are festive time. However, we also realize that life is still happening and people are (rightfully) outraged at the grand jury's decision to not indict police officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing unarmed Michael Brown. This is a topic that hip-hop is all too familiar with and these are the discussions Hip Hop Roundtable was created to have. We first get into our general thoughts on the grand jury's decision overall and then move into what hip-hop's role is/should be. So whether you're listening to this on the drive to gather with family on Turkey Day or warming up some of the leftover turkey a couple of days later, we hope that this dialogue gets you thinking and sparks more conversation within your spheres of influence.

(By the way, forgive any minor audio glitches you may hear. We wanted to make sure we covered this in a timely manner, but we also had to piece this together during our holiday break, so we had to Skype in Deven and our special guest --and Deven's uncle--Cliff. Not exactly how we would have wanted it, but we sacrificed a little audio quality for an even more quality discussion.)
